Lehman College rallied late to overcome a 13-point deficit to defeat the St. Lawrence University men's basketball team, 90-86, in the consolation game on day two of the Rick Martin – Holiday Inn Express Tournament in Westfield, Massachusetts, Saturday afternoon.

Dom DeRegis led the Saints with 19 points, while senior Riley Naclerio added 18. Ben Crawford had 15 points and first-year Pierre Coffy added 12. Naclerio added a team-high five assists and eight rebounds.

Both teams battled for the lead for the majority of the first half. A 3-pointer from Naclerio with less than a minute to play in the first half gave the Saints a 42-34 lead.

St. Lawrence led by as many as 14 points and had a 52-39 lead with 6:30 to play after Coffy nailed a 3-pointer.

Trailing 82-72 with 5:16 left in the game, Lehman used a 13-0 run to grab the lead. Luis Hernandez sparked the spurt with a 3-pointer, Andrew Utate made four free throws and a jumper, and Jean Marcial's steal and layup with just under three minutes left gave the Lightning their first lead of the second half.

Utate led the Lightning with 26 points, while Mylo Mitchell and Hernandez recorded 23 and 11, respectively. Utate also grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.

Lehman shot 63 percent (17-for-27) from the floor in the second half and connected on 21-of-36 free throw attempts. The Scarlet and Brown held a 14-10 fast-break point advantage.

"Our youth showed today," said head coach Chris Downs. "You can't put teams in the bonus five minutes into the second half and continue to foul. We were up by 10 and didn't play smart, focused or tough. Overall it was a very disappointing day."

The Saints fell to 0-2 overall, while Lehman improved to 1-1 for third place in the tournament.

St. Lawrence will travel to neighboring SUNY Canton for a midweek matchup on Tuesday, Nov. 21st at 3 p.m. before heading home for Thanksgiving break.
