To those of you that think eliminating sports is the answer to all the financial woes of St. Lawrence County schools, think again! The sports budget for schools in St. Lawrence County is about 1 percent of the total budget. To cut something that costs 1 percent of the budget and services a lot of the student body would be an ill-advised move. Any one that knows the first thing about education understands the educational “bang for your buck” reward of these programs. Stop being ignorant!
