Kei Kullberg finished 18th in the men's slalom to lead the St. Lawrence University Alpine skiing team on the second day of the UNH Winter Carnival at Cannon Mountain on Saturday.
Kullberg, who was in 21st place after clocking in at 57.30 seconds on his first run, moved up three spots after shaving 3.71 seconds off his first run, completing the course in 1:50.89. Kullberg earned 22 points for the Saints.
Jake VanDeursen finished in 36th place in 1:55.22 adding 12 points for the Saints.
Riley Whitney led the women's team with a 39th place finish in the slalom with a total time of 2:18.25 to earn 10 points. Whitney was the only NCAA point scoring member for the Saints on Saturday.
"We had two tough days at UNH," said head coach Willi Steinrotter. "Kei had a solid GS result and ended up 18th in the slalom today after starting with bib number 80."
The Saints will travel to Mt. Mansfield next weekend to take part in the University of Vermont Carnival.
