Entering their final home weekend of the year, the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team will look to pick up a conference win when they take on the Bard College Raptors at 4:00 pm on Friday and the Vassar College Brewers at 2:00 pm on Saturday. Both games will be played at Hantz Turf Field.
The Raptors (4-9-1, 0-5 Liberty League) have struggled on the offensive end, being outscored 19-16 on the year, but eight of the 16 goals they have scored came in an 8-0 win early in the season. Maddy Huggins leads the team with six goals and Kelsey O'Brien has started 10 games in net, allowing 10 goals and posting a 4-6 record this season. The Raptors have been shut out in all five Liberty League games this year, being outscored 9-0 in the process. The Golden Knights are 1-0-1 all-time against Bard, winning 2-0 in 2011 and playing to a scoreless tie last year.
The Brewers (5-5-2, 0-2-1 Liberty League) enter this weekend with mixed results. Finding most of their success in the non-conference schedule, the bright spot in league play has been a 2-2 tie against RIT. Outscoring opponents 17-14 on the year, Chloe Wheeler leads the team with eight goals while no one else has scored more than twice. Emma Nichols has started eight games in net, recording 43 saves and allowing six goals.
The Golden Knights (4-9, 0-4 Liberty League) wrap up their home schedule with a pair of teams winless in conference play, and look to take advantage in order to pick up their first league win. Freshman goalkeeper Sierra Spring (Saratoga Springs, NY) earned her second career start last Saturday, recording seven saves in a 3-0 loss to Skidmore College.
