Senior goaltender Shea Tiley (Owen Sound, ONT) backstopped the Clarkson University Women's Hockey team to a 2-0 Friday win for the second consecutive week with an 18-save effort at Penn State.

Junior Loren Gabel (Kitchener, ONT) and freshman Elizabeth Giguere (Quebec City, QUE) paced the offense with one goal and one assist apiece.

The Golden Knights who improved their record to 4-0-1 on the season, while also extending the defending National Champions unbeaten streak to 21 games (19-0-2), dating back to January 20.

Clarkson, ranked 2nd in the national polls, and Penn State (1-3-1) face off again at the Pegula Ice Arena in University Park, PA at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Gabel provided the only goal the Knights would need, midway through the first period, finishing off an assist from Giguere at 11:15 for her third goal of the season.

Just 27 seconds into the second stanza, Giguere, reigning ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week, took a pass from Gabel in the slot and fired in her team-high fourth goal of the season for the insurance marker. Sophomore Michaela Pejzlova (Pardubice Czech Rep.) also assisted on her linemate's goal.

Clarkson outshot the Nittany Lions 23-18.

Tiley made seven saves in both the first and second periods and added four more stops over the final 20 minutes to record her 26th career shutout.

The Knights went 0-of-3 on the power play while Penn State was 0-of-2 with the man-advantage.
