For the fourth time this season, the Clarkson University Women's Hockey team will play its local rival St. Lawrence on Tuesday night, 7:00 p.m. at Appleton Arena in Canton..

Guided by seventh-year head coach Matt Desrosiers and first-year assistant coaches Meghan Duggan and Britni Smith, the Green and Gold have an overall record of 16-8-3 with a 10-3-2 record in ECAC Hockey play. They are currently tied for third place in ECAC Hockey, along with the Saints and Cornell, and are ranked tenth in the national polls.

The last time Clarkson met St. Lawrence, the Golden Knights won 5-0 with junior captain Shannon MacAulay (Mt. Herbert, PEI) scoring her first hat trick. They also met in the first two games of the season, with each team picking up a win in their home arena. St. Lawrence has an identical record to Clarkson both overall and in conference games. The Saints have the all-time advantage in the series, winning 17 matchups with Clarkson winning 16 and four others ending in a draw.

Clarkson has struggled against ranked teams this season, holding just a 1-5-3 record. With St. Lawrence (16-8-3, 10-3-2) ranked ninth in one national poll, the Green and Gold have an opportunity to improve on that record as well as moving up in the conference standings.

Senior Christine Lambert (Thetford Mines, QUE) had herself a weekend, picking up five points across the two games. First she had both Clarkson goals in a losing effort against Yale and then had three assists in the win over Brown. It was the first time this season that she had consecutive games with multiple points.

MacAulay and her classmate Cayley Mercer (Exeter, ONT) continue to rack up points. Each has 31 on the season, placing them in a tie for the team lead. Each of them had a goal and an assist against Brown and now MacAulay leads the team in goals with 16 while Mercer's 16 assists are tops on the team.

Junior assistant captain Erin Ambrose (Keswick, ONT) had an assist against Yale to go along with a goal and an assist against Brown. She now has 105 career points and is just six points away from tying her former teammate Brittany Styner '14 for sixth on the all-time list.

Freshman goaltender Shea Tiley (Owen Sound, ONT) made 15 saves against Brown to complete her sixth shutout of the season. She also had 27 saves against Yale. The week before, she made a career-high 34 saves in consecutive games against Wisconsin en route to being named ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week.

Junior assistant captain Olivia Howe (Moose Jaw,SASK) had two goals against Brown. She has now scored 24 goals, including nine this season, in her Clarkson career and 22 of them have come in Clarkson victories.

Sophomore Genevieve Bannon (Candiac, QUE) was the fifth goal scorer in the 6-0 win against Brown and also had an assist in each game last weekend. She now has 26 points this season on 10 goals and 16 assists, which is tied with Mercer for most assists on the team.
