Still smarting from its overtime loss to Clarkson University in last year's National Championship game, Colgate gained a measure of revenge over the Golden Knights by sweeping the 2018-19 regular-season series, capped off by Saturday's 4-3 overtime victory at Cheel Arena.

The loss, Clarkson's first at home this season (14-1), drops the Knights three points behind league-leader Princeton in the ECAC Hockey standings with four games remaining on the schedule. Clarkson, which saw its win streak halted at nine games, owns a 23-6-1 overall record and stands in a second-place tie with Cornell in the conference with a 14-4 ECAC Hockey mark. Ranked fourth in the national polls entering the weekend, the Green and Gold travel to New England next weekend to face Dartmouth and Harvard before closing out the regular season hosting Princeton and Quinnipiac on February 22-23.

Trailing 3-2 after 40 minutes, 10th-ranked Colgate (17-8-5, 11-4-3) tallied a pair of power-play goals, one early in the third and the deciding goal early in the overtime to hand Clarkson its first loss since January 6 and first league defeat since December 1.

Malia Schneider came through with the game-winner for the Raiders, knocking in a loose puck off a rebound at the top of the crease just 57 seconds into the extra session.

Colgate outshot Clarkson 32-26. The Raiders went 2-of-6 on the power play, while the Green and Gold were 1-of-4 with the man-advantage.

Kassidy Sauve (Whitby, ONT) posted 28 saves.

Colgate got on the scoreboard first to start the battle between the two Top 10 powers. Bailey Larson's shot from the top of the right circle found its way through players in front and past Sauve at 13:32.

Less than a minute later, sophomore right wing Elizabeth Giguere (Quebec City, QUE) took a short pass from senior defenseman Emma Keenan (Calgary, ALB), skated down the slot, around a couple of Raider defenders and slip in her 20th goal of the season to tie the game at 14:11

Clarkson went on top early in the middle frame when T.T. Cianfarano (Oswego, NY) scored on a shorthanded breakaway, firing in a shot low stick side from the bottom of the left circle at 2:33 for her 16th goal of the season. Giguere set up the play with a pass out of the Clarkson end to Cianfarano at center ice.

The Raiders came right back to tie, capitalizing on a bad clearing attempt by Sauve, who lost the puck off her stick in the corner. Larson picked up the loose puck in the slot and deposited it into an empty net at 4:54 to make it 2-2.

With just three seconds left in a power play, the Knights went back on top to hold a 3-2 advantage through two periods.

Senior defenseman Josiane Pozzebon (Bourget, ONT) connected on a shot from the high slot that found its way through traffic in front at 12:11 for her fourth goal of the season. Senior Captain Cassidy Vinkle (Belleville, ONT) and junior defenseman Taylor Turnquist (Blaine, MN) assisted.

Colgate's Coralie Larose tied the game 3-3 with her own power-play tally at 3:30, knocking in a rebound off the cross bar just as a Clarkson penalty was ending.
