Potsdam, NY - A quick start and a sustained offense throughout helped lift the Clarkson University Women's Basketball team to a 67-40 victory over Bard College Saturday afternoon as the Golden Knights celebrated Senior Day at Alumni Gymnasium.

The Golden Knights moved to 16-5 overall and 9-3 in conference play, the first time that Clarkson will have a winning record in the Liberty League since its renamed inception in 2004-05. Bard fell to 4-16 overall and 0-12 in conference games.

Though only one senior was dressed due to injuries, the senior class was well-represented in the early going as Cara Manfredi nailed her first two 3-pointers of the game, and Ashley Loggins made another as the Knights scored 10 points in less than two minutes. Just a few minutes later the Knights jumped out to a double-digit advantage (17-7) and never saw the margin dip into single digits for the remainder of the half and game. Clarkson shot 50% overall from the field, while Bard made just 25.0% of their shots and the Knights had a 24-point edge at the break.

Clarkson's offensive output would slow in the second half, but the Knights did more than enough to maintain their advantage, watching the gap reach 30 points. Clarkson shot just 29.7% in the second half with just a single 3-pointer, but Bard really struggled and made only four shots in the entire second half, pushing their point total with 13 free throws.

Manfredi finished with 21 points and eight rebounds, while Loggins produced another double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds, including six on the offensive end. Stephanie Grobe shot 5-for-8 from the floor for her 10 points and Madison Shea kicked in 10 points and three steals. Katelyn Curtis had a solid defensive game with six rebounds and six blocks.

For Bard, Tytravia Riley had another double-double as well with 11 points and 12 rebounds and Bianka Bell added in 11 points.
