Potsdam, NY - Senior Nicole Pera (Jamison, PA) and juniors Abby Luber (Camillus, NY) and Emma Bonan (Queensbury, NY) each took a pair of individual events in Saturday's dual meet as the Clarkson University Swim team cruised past Utica College at Fuller Pool.

The Golden Knights' women claimed a 109-58 victory while the men won just as handily, 111-70.

Clarkson started off right, winning both the men's and women's 400 medley relay events. The women's team of Nicole Pera, Anne Hawn (Gouverneur, NY), Kim Stillittano (Binghamton, NY) and Luber won in 5:11.51, while the men's squad of Aaron Kreher (Clarence, NY), Kurt Schwarting (Lowville, NY), Stephen Maxwell (Latham, NY), and Bob Stevens (Lakewood, NY) won in 4:33.19.

From there, Clarkson cruised with numerous victories on both sides. For the women, Nikki Perra won the 200 individual medley (2:44.71) and 200 backstroke (2:40.57), Emma Bonan finished first in the 200 freestyle (2:25.79) and the 200 butterfly (2:54.98), and Abby Luber took the top spot in the 50 freestyle (31.08) and 100 freestyle (1:10.45). Colleen Daly (Manlius, NY) also won an individual event, finishing first in the 800 freestyle in 10:28.58.

No individuals won multiple events for the men, but a balanced effort led the way. Mitchell Maciuba (Clarence, NY) won the 800 freestyle (10.12.30) to start off all singular efforts for the men. Then Paul Telesca (Liverpool, NY) won the 200 freestyle in 2:16.94, followed by Sean Parnett (Clifton Park, NY) taking the top spot in the 50 freestyle (26.88). The specialty events came next for the Knights with Kurt Schwarting winning the 200 individual medley (2:33.90), Stevens finishing first in the 200 butterfly (2:25.76), and Mike Rowe (Glenville, NY) winning the 200 backstroke (2:18.21).
