Three standouts with the Clarkson University Women's Hockey program are playing for Team Canada in the 2014 4 Nations Cup in Kamloops, British Columbia, as junior assistant captain Erin Ambrose and Golden Knight alumni Erica Howe '14 and Jamie Lee Rattray '14 are representing their home country.
The 4 Nations Cup is a round-robin style tournament between the United States, Canada, Finland and Sweden with ensuing bronze and gold medal games. Canada is looking to defend its Four Nations Cup title from 2013. The Tournament runs from November 4-8.
Through two games of the tournament, Rattray (Kanata, ONT) is the leading scorer for Team Canada with three points on one goal and two assists. Amborse (Keswick, ONT) has played in both games on the blueline. Howe (Ottawa, ONT) has played a backup role in goal through the first two games
Team Canada and the United States have combined to win the gold medal at all 18 events to date. Canada has won the lion's share of events with 13 gold medals overall, including last season's gold medal victory over Finland. Prior to last season, the United States had won three of the previous five titles.
Clarkson is off this week, but will return to action on Friday, Nov. 14, when it will host Harvard at Cheel Arena in a 7:00 p.m. ECAC Hockey game.
