With a win over its archrival in its most celebrated home game of the season the Clarkson University Hockey team could not have asked for a better way to start the second half of the ECAC Hockey campaign. The Golden Knights, guided by fifth-year head coach Casey Jones and assistants Phil Roy '00 and Josh Hauge will look to build upon Tuesday's 3-1 victory over St. Lawrence at Cheel Arena when they take to the road to battle Dartmouth and Harvard.

Clarkson plays the Big Green at Thompson Arena in Hanover, NH on Friday and then faces off against Top-10 ranked Harvard at Bright-Landry Hockey Center in Cambridge, MA on Saturday. Both games are 7:00 p.m. starts. Saturday's game at Harvard will be streamed live on ESPN3

On a modest two-game winning streak, Clarkson stands at 9-9-2 overall. After picking up its first conference victory of the season with the win over the Saints, the Green and Gold post a 1-5-2 ECAC Hockey mark.

• Clarkson holds a significant 69-27-7 lead over Dartmouth in their series, which began with a 4-1 win in Hanover, NH on February 4, 1929. The series has been fairly even recently with both teams winning five games apiece in the last 10 meetings. Clarkson has won three of the last five games. The teams have split the past two seasons with each winning two games on the other's home ice.

• The Knights and Harvard will be meeting for the 118th time in their all-time series which first began with a 2-1 Clarkson win in Lake Placid on December 28, 1935. The Crimson have gone 8-2 over the past 10 meetings to take a two-game lead in the rivalry 54-52-11. Harvard defeated the Knights 6-3 in Cambridge on January 16 and 3-2 in Potsdam on February 21 for its third consecutive win in the series.

• Clarkson is 7-1-1 at Cheel Arena this season, but just 2-6-1 on opponents' home ice. The Knights are 0-2 at neutral site games.

• After this weekend the Green and Gold played eight of their final 12 regular season games in Potsdam, and will play outside of New York State on just one weekend.

• It is not the offensive explosion the Knights enjoyed in October when they scored 24 goals in five wins, but Clarkson's scoring production is starting to come back around. After combining for just four goals in their last four games of 2015, the Green and Gold are averaging three goals a game through their first three contests of 2016.

• Sophomore Sam Vigneault (Baie-Comeau, QUE) leads the Knights offensively with 16 points on a team-high eight goals and eight assists through 19 games, and has scored a team-high four game-winners (tied for fourth in the nation), including the deciding score in the win over St. Lawrence with his second goal of the night. He tallied 13 points (6-7) through 31 games in his rookie campaign last season.

• Junior A. J. Fossen (Maple Grove, MN) is second the Clarkson scoring charts with a balanced effort of seven goals and seven assists. He has connected for a team-high five power-play markers and three, two-goal games.

• Christian Powers (Carlisle, ONT) is enjoying a steady senior campaign as the Green and Gold's third leading scorer. He rounds out the Knights' double-digit points providers with four goals and six assists to go along with a +5 plus/minus rating. He recorded 10 points (2-8) through 77 contests in his first three seasons.

• Junior Troy Josephs (Whitby, ONT) saw a three-game goal-scorig streak come to an end on Tuesday. He scored his fourth goal of the season, an unassisted shorthanded marker with six seconds left in the first period in the January 3 win at Bowling Green to spark a three-goal run for Clarkson. A 2013 NHL Draft choice on the Penguins, Josephs was named to the Three Rivers Classic All-Tournament team after scoring a goal against Penn State. He has seven point through 17 games.

• Although Clarkson's power play was shut down in the win over St. Lawrence (0-of-4), the Knights have shown improvement with the man-advantage, starting the New Year with a pair of power-play tallies at Bowling Green to snap an 0-of-36 stretch. The Knights are 11-69 overall on the power play (16%) and are looking for their first man-advantage goal in ECAC Hockey this season (0-26).

• The Knights penalty-killing unit was perfect on Tuesday against the Saints (3-of-3) and is 63-of-75 (84%) on the season.

• Sophomore Brett Gervais (Corona, CA) has taken the most draws for the Knights at the faceoff circle (172-168, 50.6%). He is tied for fourth in scoring for the Green and Gold with nine points (2-7).

• Senior Greg Lewis (Mars, PA) and junior Steve Perry (Ligonier, PA) and have seen the bulk of the action in the Clarkson crease. He made 26 saves on 27 shots through 49 minutes of play in the win at BGSU (1/3) before leaving with an injury. Lewis played the full 60 minutes on Tuesday against St. Lawrence, turning aside 26 of 27 shots. Perry has started 14 games, including both contests at the Three Rivers Classic, and posts a .887 save percentage and a 2.85 goals against average en route to a 6-6-1 record, including one shutout.

• Freshman Aaron Thow (Toronto, ONT) posts a team-high +6 rating, and returned to the lineup after missing the BGSU weekend with an injury.

• Junior James de Haas (Mississauga, ONT) leads the Clarkson offense from the blueline with nine points (1-8).

• Clarkson is 5-0-1 when scoring first and 5-0-1 when leading through 40 minutes, but 0-8-1 when trailing through two periods. The Knights have allowed the opening goal in each of the past seven games and in 14 of the first 20 games.

• Clarkson has outshot 12 of its first 20 opponents, 635-522 combined total.

• Defensemen, senior Kevin Tansey (Hammond, ONT) and captain Paul Geiger (Stouffville, ONT) and sophomore Kelly Summers (Golden Lake, ONT) lead Clarkson in blocked shots with 23 and 22 respectively.
