For the third time this season, freshman Ashley Loggins (Albany, NY) of the Clarkson University Women's Basketball team has been chosen as the Liberty League Rookie of the Week.

Loggins posted a pair of double-doubles in three games this past week, averaging 24.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game over the last seven days. Against St. Lawrence she had 20 points and eight rebounds and followed that game with back-to-back monster performances against RIT and William Smith. Versus the Tigers, Loggins had 25 points and 11 rebounds, shooting 10-for-14 from the field. She topped that display against William Smith, scoring a season-high 27 points with 11 more rebounds. Her 12-for-15 shooting against the Herons was the second best figure in the conference all season long.

For the season, Loggins is averaging 18.4 points per game, which ranks second in the conference, and 10.9 rebounds, which also rates second. She also is 11th in field-goal percentage (42.0%) and steals (2.1 spg). Her marks are even better when limited to only league contests, scoring 21.4 points with 12.1 rebounds against conference opponents.

Loggins has maintained a pace to break several freshman marks in 2012-13. She currently is only 21 points short of tying the freshman record for points in a season and is 25 rebounds shy of the first-year mark in that category. She is also 25 offensive caroms short of the single-season record at Clarkson.
