Making the most of her minutes, freshman Isabella Esposito (Essex, VT) set career-highs for both points and rebounds last week for the Clarkson University Women's Basketball team and on Monday she was rewarded by being named as the Liberty League Rookie of the Week.
Esposito came off the bench and played 19 minutes in a 65-43 win over Cazenovia, but dominated the Wildcats in that limited time by scoring 17 points (6-for-13 FG, 4-for-5 FT) and grabbing 11 rebounds, both easily career highs in her brief collegiate career. She also added a pair of assists and a block in the Golden Knights' win.
For the season, Esposito is averaging 7.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game while shooting 40.9 percent from the floor.
