Kluchinski fourth in Steeple to lead Saints women's track at Regionals

Catherine Kluchinski dropped more than three seconds off her personal-best time to finish fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase to the St. Lawrence University women's outdoor track and field team on the first day of competition at the All-Atlantic Regional Track and Field Conference Championships at SUNY Brockport on Wednesday.

Kluchinski crossed the finish line in 11 minutes, 49.97 seconds, just over 11 seconds behind the third-place finisher, to score five points for the Saints, who sit in 16th place in the team standings after the first day of competition.

Hannah Fake (10th, pole vaue), Leah Conners (14th, hammer throw) and Holly Riccitelli (17th, triple jump) also competed for the Saints.

The regional championship meet will conclude on Thursday.

Hammer Throw: Leah Conners, 11th (44.73 meters)

Pole Vault: Hannah Fake, 10th (3.15 meters)

Triple jump: Holly Riccitelli, 17th (10.15 meters)
