The nationally-ranked No. 10 St. Lawrence University men's cross country team won the program's 18thstraight conference championship on Saturday in Poughkeepsie, NY, claiming the 2011 Liberty League title. Senior John Johnston won the individual title for the second straight year.
The men's race was held in heavy, wet and accumulating snow which eventually shut down the timing system being used. Official scoring and times will be posted as they become available.
The Saints will have next weekend off before hosting the 2011 NCAA Atlantic Regional race on the Ronald C. Hoffmann Cross Country Course. The races are scheduled to begin at 11:00am and 12:00pm, respectively, on Saturday, November 12th with bids to the NCAA Championship on the line.
