The Clarkson University Athletic Department is pleased to announce the hiring of Jessica Kusnierz as the Golden Knights' Softball team's top assistant coach for 2015-16.

Kusnierz, a 2015 graduate of Bethany College (WV) with a degree in Sports Management, replaces the program's first assistant coach Katie Allenson.

A three-time Presidents' Athletic Conference All-Star, Kusnierz finished her career with a .296 batting average, a .420 on-base percentage and a .421 slugging percentage, ranking fourth all-time at Bethany in runs scored (115) and tied for sixth in doubles (34). She recorded 133 hits, 42 of which went for extra-bases, and was an expert at getting on base with 30 walks and 67 hit by pitches, a specialty that she utilized as the team's leadoff hitter. She holds the Bethany program single-season records for hit by pitches (23, 2014) and runs scored (45, 2015). Kusnierz appeared in 159 games in her career, making 156 starts, including 45 games at shortstop as a senior.

Kusnierz accumulated a 3.87 grade-point average in her four years at Bethany, earning President's List on two occasions and Dean's List six times. She also graduated Summa Cum Laude and was awarded numerous other academic awards.
