Casey Nuchereno and Alec Dietsch, a pair of incoming first-year student-athletes, competed in the 2013 Section VI Kensington Lions Senior All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 31 in Orchard Park, NY.
Nuchereno was selected to serve as a captain for the North, while Dietsch earned the North's team Defensive Most Valuable Player honors.
"Both Casey and Alec are very athletic and competitive linebackers, and this was a great chance for them to showcase their talents prior to reporting to camp," said St. Lawrence head football coach Mark Raymond. "We'll be looking for both guys to come to camp ready to compete on both the defensive side of the ball and on special teams."
St. Lawrence University all-conference offensive lineman Ryan Schmidt '15 participated in the game prior to becoming a member of the Saints. Schmidt is joined in the above photo by Nuchereno, Dietsch and St. Lawrence offensive coordinator Dan Puckhaber.
