POTSDAM -- The Clarkson University Athletic Department has announced the addition of Jon Ignatowski as the top assistant coach for the sports of both Cross Country and Nordic Skiing in 2015-16.
Ignatowski earned a degree in Environmental Studies and English with a minor in Outdoor Studies from St. Lawrence University in 2012, finishing his schooling with a grade-point average of 3.94. While at St. Lawrence, he ran with the Saints' cross country and track teams in 2008-09 and spent four years with the University's club nordic ski team.
Ignatowski has used his minor in Outdoor Studies frequently, as he has also worked with Great Freedom Adventures, a Boston-based bike touring company, as well as spending time as a Mountain Bike instructor in New Mexico. Like head coach Jim Allott, he frequently trains and competes in long distance running events.
