CALGARY — Hockey Canada has named Clarkson University Women's Hockey Head Coach Matt Desrosiers to the staff of its women's national development team.
A native of Port Colborne, ONT, Desrosiers will serve as an assistant coach for Canada's National Women's Development Team in August and will be with the team at the 2018 International Ice Hockey Federation U18 Women's World Championship in Russia over the Christmas/New Year Holiday break.
Desrosiers has been the head coach for the Golden Knights for the past nine seasons and won NCAA championships in 2014 and 2017.
He also served as a selection camp coach with Canada's National Women's U18 Team in 2016.
He played five years of professional hockey in the East Coast Hockey League and Central Hockey League.
