Hochschartner closes season for Saints Nordic team with EISA Top-10 finish at Middlebury

Lucy Hochschartner recorded her third career EISA top-10 finish, skiing to a ninth-place finish in the women's 15-kilometer freestyle to lead the St. Lawrence University Nordic Ski Team on day two of the Middlebury College Carnival/NCAA Eastern Regionals at the Rickert Touring Center in Middlebury, Vermont on Saturday.

Hochschartner posted a final time of 40 minutes and 43.1 seconds to earn 33 points for the Saints and 29 NCAA points. Dottie Anderson and Kate Andy finished 34th and 38th, respectively, combining for 25 points.

George-Henry Werowinski posted the top result on the men's side with a 44th-place finish and his best finish of the season in the men's 20-kilometer freestyle in 53:39.8. Nathaniel Perkins, Matthew Young and Matthew Manwaring also posted season-best finishes this afternoon.

"Lucy's result today was definitely something to be proud of and a great way to end the regular season," said head coach Ethan Townsend. "Today was also the best day for the men team wise and it was good to see them move up from their original seeding."

After day two, the women posted a seventh-place finish and the men finished in ninth place overall. St. Lawrence wrapped up the final weekend in ninth place.
