Hayley Rausch, one of the most prolific scorers in the history of the University of New Hampshire's field hockey program, has joined the St. Lawrence University field hockey staff as assistant coach.

Rausch will assist head coach Fran Grembowicz as the Saints seek their sixth Liberty League post-season appearance in the last seven years. The Saints will open the 2012 season against Oneonta at Utica on Sept. 1.

Rausch, a native of Severna Park, MD, played four years of field hockey at New Hampshire and was a three-year member of the Wildcat's women's lacrosse team earning first team All America East and was captain as a junior. In field hockey she was the 2011 America East Championship Most Outstanding Player, a first-team All Conference selection, a member of the championship tournament all star team and a Northeast Region first team all star after setting the UNH single season record for points with 62. She scored 26 goals and had 10 assists in her senior year, helping UNH to the America East regular season and tournament titles and a spot in the NCAA tournament. UNH was ranked as high as seventh nationally in 2011.

She played in all but three games in her four seasons at UNH and scored 51 goals and had 34 assists for 136 points in 80 career games. She was a NFHCA Northeast Region second team selection as a junior and also earned America East all conference and all championship team selections.
