Sophomore Alanna Blackburn won a pair of events and the St. Lawrence women's swim and dive team finished the afternoon with a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay, but ultimately fell to Hartwick 128-101. With the loss, Hartwick snapped the Saints streak of dual meet wins at five.
Blackburn picked up two of the Saints three individual event victories on the afternoon, winning the 50 and 100-yard freestyle events. In the 50, the sophomore posted a time of 25.17, while teammate Rebecca Raab placed third for the Saints in 26.71. In the 100-yard free, Blackburn finished with a time of 56.11.
Elizabeth Canne was the other individual winner for the Saints on Saturday as she posted a time of 1:11.04 to win the 100-yard breaststroke. Julia Carson also picked up points for the Scarlet and Brown in the event, finishing second to Canne in 1:15.96.
Carson was also second in the 200-yard freestyle and was followed closely by teammates Nicole Leinders and Kathryn Whittum who finished third and fourth, respectively.
The Saints earned 15 team points in the 200-yard freestyle relay with first and second place finishes, but Hartwick had all but sealed the win at that point.
Up next for St. Lawrence is the team's final home meet of the season against Utica on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 1 p.m. at the Augsbury Pool.
