After a tense 110 minutes, the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team finished a 0-0 tie against visiting Union on Friday afternoon on Friday afternoon.
Clarkson now has a 4-7-2 overall record and is 1-3-1 in Liberty League games while Union owns a 7-1-4 record overall and a 1-0-3 record in conference.
Neither team was able to gain much offensive traction with just 17 total shots being taken between the two squads. The best chance of the game came in the second overtime. Tucker Wilcox got behind the Union defense and raced in on the Union goal, but his shot ricocheted off the outside of the post.
Union held a slight 9-8 edge in shots and a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks. Riley McDonald made three stops in goal for Clarkson while John Weitzman made five saves for the Dutchmen.
Clarkson will host Rensselaer tomorrow in a 2:00 pm game.
