A month after meeting in Syracuse, the Clarkson Women's Hockey team will face the Orange for the second time this season, with the rematch taking place in Cheel Arena on Tuesday night with a 7:00 p.m. faceoff.

Clarkson, ranked fourth in the nation, has a 10-1-2 overall record and is 1-1-2 in ECAC Hockey games, placing them seventh in the conference. This past weekend saw the Golden Knights go 1-1-0 in their two games. First, Clarkson traveled to Union and came away with a 6-0 victory, its eighth consecutive victory against the Dutchwomen. On Saturday, despite 46 shots, the Green and Gold fell to Rensselaer 2-1 for their first loss of the season.

Sophomore Amanda Titus had a big weekend for Clarkson. First on Friday, Titus scored her first two goals of the season and added an assist for good measure. Then on Saturday, she had an assist on the sole Clarkson goal. It is the second time this season that she has had a point in consecutive games.

After junior assistant captain Cayley Mercer failed to register a point against Union, only the second time all season that has happened, Clarkson's leading scorer bounced back with a goal against Rensselaer. The reigning ECAC Hockey Player of the Month has a team high 19 points on 12 goals and seven assists and is 14th in the country in points per game.

Clarkson traveled to Syracuse on October 6th and left with a 3-1 win. Freshman Rhyen McGill opened the scoring for Clarkson followed by a power-play goal by senior captain Shannon MacAulay. A Syracuse goal narrowed the gap to 2-1 before Mercer scored an extra-man goal with under two minutes to play. Overall, Clarkson has a 10-1-0 record against the Orange and has won nine in a row against Syracuse.

Syracuse has a 5-5-1 overall record this season and a 3-1-1 conference record which puts the Orange in a tie for first in the CHA. Last weekend saw Syracuse travel to Lindenwood and come away with a tie and a victory. First, Syracuse grabbed a 3-1 win before skating to a 1-1 tie on Saturday. Stephanie Grossi and Melissa Piacentini are the leading scorers for Syracuse, with 15 and 14 points respectively.
