received a prestigious honor recently when she was selected to Canada’s U-22 National Team. Rattray, along with 21 other players, will represent Canada at the 2012 Meco Cup in Fussen, Germany, set to take place January 3-8, 2012. The Golden Knights’ leading scorer, the sophomore left wing has tallied 17 points, including a team-high 11 assists through 14 games this season. A native of Kanata, Ontario, Rattray has helped Clarkson to an 8-4-4 overall record and a 4-3-1 ECAC Hockey mark. The Knights are off this weekend, but return to action on December 2-3 when they host Rensselaer and Union at Cheel Arena.

What made you choose to play hockey and when did you started playing?
My dad was the big reason why I started, he played growing up. the first time I saw him play when I was 4 I turned to my mom and said “I want to play hockey just like my dad.”
What’s the best part of playing?
Being able to compete and share the game with your teammates that you would sacrifice anything for.
What does making Canada’s U-22 National Team mean to you?
It is an amzing opportunity and honour to compete and play with the best in the world at this age group, while representing your country. It also is another step towards my dream of playing in the Olympics
