Canton, NY – Four players scored in double figures as the men's basketball team earned a 68-50 victory against visiting Albany College of Pharmacy on Friday.
Sam Annorh led the Roos with 18 points, while Adrian Williams and Romario Fletcher added 15 points and four assists apiece. Rashad Richardson chipped in 10 points and eight rebounds, while Walt Jeter hauled down a game-high 12 rebounds.
The Roos (9-7) opened a nine point first half lead and they took that advantage into the locker room. Annorh paced the offense with 10 points, while Williams added nine in the opening half. Alex Johnson led the Panthers (2-9) with 12 points and three first half assists.
Canton extended its lead to as many as 18 with 10:59 to play after a pair of Annorh free throws. From that point ACPHS got no closer than 13 the remainder of the way.
Johnson led all players with 22 points for the Panthers, while Brandon Votra chipped in nine. The Roos outrebounded the Panthers 45-34 including 13 offensive rebounds which led to 10 second chance points. Canton also scored 11 points off turnovers and held a 34-18 advantage in points in the paint.
The men's basketball team returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Morrisville State at 4 p.m.
