For the third straight year, senior Sara Artus (St. Regis Falls, NY) was chosen as a Liberty League First-Team All-Star for the Clarkson University Volleyball team, but this time around she gained some additional hardware as the conference's Player of the Year, heading a list of four Golden Knights on the Liberty League All-Star team.

Artus and sophomore Lani Durio (Austin, TX) were each chosen as Liberty League First-Team all-star members, while freshman Adrienne Walker (Centennial, CO) was chosen as Liberty League Rookie of the Year and a Second-Team all-star. Sophomore libero Erika Chin (Katy, TX) gained notice as a Liberty League Honorable Mention all-star.

Artus holds nearly every mark for hitters in the Clarkson record book, having recorded over 400 kills for the third straight year en route to 1,653 in her career. She ranks second in the conference in kills per set (3.72 per set) with a .244 hitting percentage, and was even better in conference matches this year, hitting .309 with a nearly identical kills per set rate (3.70 per set). Artus has also struck for 31 aces and 44 blocks while delivering 26 assists and adding in 250 digs.

Durio broke her own single-season mark for assists in a season (1,218) and already ranks third all-time in that category at Clarkson. The Liberty League Rookie of the Year in 2010, Durio was chosen as a Liberty League First-Team all-star this season, easily pacing the conference in assists per set (10.32 per set). She also ranked third in the league in aces with 58 (0.49 per set), while scoring an additional 82 kills and 19 blocks to go along with 188 digs.

Freshman Adrienne Walker was chosen as a Liberty League Second-Team all-star and was Clarkson's third Liberty League Rookie of the Year in the past four seasons, joining Durio (2010) and Megan Mahon (Irvine, CA -- 2008). Walker was injured for approximately a quarter of the season, but made her presence felt when she was on the court, averaging 2.48 kills per set (216 total). She ranks highly among the conference leaders in hitting percentage and kills per set, also adding in 43 total blocks and 19 aces.

Chin has provided a steadying influence as the team's libero in 2011, and was named a Liberty League Honorable Mention for her performance. She has recorded 525 digs this season, the seventh-highest single-season total in Clarkson history. She is also second in the league in aces (62) and aces per set (0.53) while ranking second on the team in assists with 54.

Clarkson, which won the regular season conference title, will host the Liberty League conference tournament November 4-5 at Alumni Gymnasium.
