Canton, NY – Kaleigh Foran (Fort Ann, NY) scored the sixth and seventh goals of her freshman year to give SUNY Canton a 2-0 lead early but eight unanswered goals from Albany College of Pharmacy gave them an 8-2 victory against the host SUNY Canton women's soccer team on Saturday.

Foran got the scoring started just 5:18 into the contest when she received a pass from Karyss Terrance (Hogansburg, NY) and beat the opposing goalkeeper for the sixth time this season. Terrance fed a ball in from the left side where she found Foran at the far post. The freshman added another goal roughly four minutes later to extend the Roos lead to 2-0. Kristina DiNardo (Ottawa, ON) was credited with an assist on the play.

Albany College of Pharmacy got within one at the 11:28 mark when Sarah Cope found the back of the net on a breakaway after beating a SUNY Canton defender. With five minutes left in the opening half Cope found the back of the net for a second time using her speed down the left side as she finished past Roo keeper Liz Lynch (North Lawrence, NY) into the right side of the net.

The Panthers (9-4) added another score three minutes before halftime with Cope setting up the play this time as she played a through ball up the middle to Nicole Burline who finished into the left corner of goal. Albany Pharmacy led 3-2 at intermission holding a 6-5 shots on goal edge.

The visitors continued to control play in the second half as 89 seconds out of break Cope found the back of the net once again to complete the hat trick, this time off a pass from Alexis Swist. Katie Parsels and Burline each added two goals apiece down the stretch for the 8-2 final.

Albany Pharmacy finished with a slim 16-13 shots advantage but controlled shots on goal 13-6. Lynch made five stops in net for the Roos (4-13), while Amy Jagareski turned aside four SUNY Canton shots.

The women's soccer team has a week off before traveling to Syracuse, NY to take on SUNY Environmental and Forestry next Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
