Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton men's basketball team used a balanced offensive attack led by Sam Annorh and Romario Fletcher as they cruised to a 101-67 victory against the visiting College of St. Joseph on Sunday.

Sam Annorh led all players with 32 points to go with seven assists and six rebounds. Romario Fletcher stuffed the stat sheet with 21 points, 24 rebounds, five assists, four blocks and two steals. Adrian Williams added 11 points and Walt Jeter finished with nine points and six rebounds.

The 24 rebounds by Fletcher are the most by a Roo player in at least the last eight seasons and as far back as statistical archives go.

SUNY Canton opened an early 13-point lead (31-18) midway through the first half after a transition dunk by Fletcher off a pass from Rashad Richardson. The hosts extended their lead to 21 at intermission taking a 52-31 advantage into the locker room.

Canton extended its lead in the second half emptying the bench en route to a convincing victory.

Antonio Gordon led the Saints with 28 points but was the only CSJ player in double figures. The Roos held a distinct advantage on the glass outrebound the Saints 70-31 including 20-12 on the offensive glass which led to 19 second chance points. Canton also held the edge in bench points, 24-8.

"Today was a gritty effort against a very tough College of St. Joseph team," Head Coach Ben Thompson said. "Our guys did a great job of staying focused and not letting up throughout the second half. " I am excited about how we are progressing as we move to the last half of the season!"

The men's basketball team returns to the hardwood on Friday when it hosts Albany College of Pharmacy at 4 p.m.
