CANTON -- The final event of the 36th annual Summer Sunset Series of races drew 204 runners and walkers who completed the one-mile or 5km courses, and 160 picked up a well earned t-shirt for competing in all three summer sessions.

Wesley Kirui continued his winning streak among men with a time of 16:42 followed by Austin Scott in 16:55 and Connor Fulk in third place, clocking 17:52.

Victoria Lederer won her final race on the women's side, dropping her time to 19:43, the best of the series. Lindsey LaBarge took second in 20:37 and Kristen Betrus was third in 20:54.

Nels Dane's 6:31 was the 2015 series' fastest mile time. 146 newcomers participated in 2015.

The Summer Sunset men's record for the 70-79 age group was shattered by over two minutes when Tony Dunbar crossed the line in 23:10 during the July 14th race.
