Hannah Fake set a school record to win the pole vault and added a win in the 100-meter hurdles to lead the St. Lawrence University women's track and field team to a dominating win in the Saints Ice Breaker Open at Merrick-Pinkard Track on Saturday afternoon.

Fake broke the record of 3.31 meters set by Greta Elliot in 2004 on her first attempt at 3.32 meters, then improved it on her second attempt at 3.42 meters. The mark was 37 centimeters clear of her nearest competitor and qualifies Fake for the All-Atlantic Regional Track and Field Conference Championships.

Leah Conners also posted a regional qualifying mark for the Saints, winning the hammer throw with a toss of 44.75 meters, 3.40 meters ahead of her nearest competitor.

The Saints won the five-team meet with 280 points. SUNY Plattsburgh was second with 220.
