The past couple of seasons the Clarkson University Men's Hockey coaching staff has brought in nationally ranked recruiting classes and it paid big dividends last year helping the Golden Knights reach the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2008. This year's group of eight incoming freshmen gives the Green and Gold another promising influx of talent.

"My staff did an outstanding job with this year's class," stated Casey Jones, the Leonard S. Ceglarski Endowed Chair for the Clarkson University Hockey program. "We have some holes to fill as we graduated a large senior class and also lost a few underclassmen to the NHL, so it was important for us to get depth in this class. I feel strongly about the talent level of this group, but I am most excited about the quality of person we are adding to our program and University. They should complement our current team members and the culture we have at Clarkson extremely well."

Clarkson's Class of 2022 consists of six forwards and two defensemen. Four of the freshmen are U.S. citizens from Michigan, Missouri, Minnesota and Wisconsin, respectively, three are Ontario, Canada natives and one hails from Alberta, Canada. Five of the incoming Knights – forwards Anthony Callin (Madison Capitols), Joshua Dunne (Green Bay Gamblers) and Adam Tisdale (Dubuque Fighting Saints) along with defensemen Brian Hurley (Chicago Steel) and Michael Underwood (Green Bay) skated in the United States Hockey League (USHL). Forwards Jamie Collins (Nanaimo Clippers) and Christopher Klack (Penticton Vees) played in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), while forward Nick Campoli (North York Rangers) comes from the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL).
