AKWESASNE -- The track was smooth and fast on Keegan's Tobacco night at Mohawk International Raceway Friday.

With the addition of the Frenchie's Ford "Drive One" Sportsman Series and The TUSA Mod Lites Series it was sure to be an exciting night.

The 358 Modifieds were set to do battle as Gage Morin and Brian McDonald brought the field to the green with McDonald getting the advantage going into turn 1.

McDonald was one of the fastest cars on the speedway as he built up a half straightaway lead over the rest on the field until lap 5 when a tangle in turn 4 involving Dale Planck, Larry Welling Jr. and Brandon Sweet who rolled his car brought out the red flag.

All drivers were unhurt and able to walk away. The restart on lap 6 saw Carey Terrance make a big move to take over the top spot but another hard wreck on the front stretch involving Laurent Ladouceur, Kyle Jacobs Zach Aubertine, Harvey Arquette Jr., and Shane Pecore also brought out the red flag again.

Once the race got going the 2 drivers on the move were Danny O'Brien and Billy Dunn. Danny had the fast lane on the top as Dunn worked the bottom they ran down Carey Terrance and coming off turn 4 O'Brien was able to clear Terrance for the top spot on lap 11 bringing Dunn along with him to 2nd.

Just past the halfway point O'Brien began to get into traffic and Dunn was able to sneak by on the bottom and open up a commanding lead. With Dunn out in front the battle was for 2nd as O'Brien and Terrance battle through traffic and on lap 22 Terrance used lapped traffic to get by o'Brien for the runner up spot.

But on this night nobody was catching Billy Dunn as he recorded his 3rd win of the season over Terrance, Danny O'Brien points leader Chris Raabe and last weeks winner Matt Billings.

Round #2 of the Frenchie's Ford "Drive One" Sportsman series was to go as Brandon Hagan and Justin Lalancette brought the field of 26 to the green with Hagan taking the lead away but heading into turn 1 behind him Sheldon Hoogwerf, Thunder Anderson Jr., and Darryl Nutting all came together bringing out the yellow.

On the restart Hagan was able to hold the top spot with Evoy, Lalancette, Brian Copp and Tammy Jalbert rounding out the top 5. The caution came back out on lap 7 as Jenna David, Nolan Swamp, Rick Miller and Neal Provost all tangled in turn 4.

On the restart Hagan still held the top spot but Evoy had a game plan. He took his machine to the top side and powered around Hagan to grab the lead with Josh VanBrocklin Mike Arquiett and Gilles Godard giving chase.

The caution would return on lap 26 as Gilles Godard who was running 5th spun to the infield breaking the front suspension on his ride ending a great run. Evoy and Hagan continued their great drive on the next restart with VanBrocklin, Arquiett, and Lalancette giving chase.

With 2 laps remaining Darryl Nutting and Bryan Copp tangled in turn 4 sending Copp and Nutting both into the wall hard.

Darryl Nutting's machine was wedged underneath Copp's race car but both drivers were unhurt. On the final restart Hagan made on last move on Evoy off turn 2 but it wasn't enough as Dylan Evoy collected his 2nd Straight series win and 5th of the year overall with Hagan, VanBrocklin, Arquiett and Lalancette rounding out the top 5.

After a 1 week lay off the Pro Stocks were ready for battle as Ricky Thompson and Owen White led the field to the green with Thompson getting the top spot in turn 1.

The first caution of the race saw Whiet get loose in turn 2 collecting Roch Aubin. Both cars were able to return to action before the next restart. When the green came back out Thompson held the lead but Stephane Lebrun was driving like a man possessed.

He quickly took the lead away on lap 6 bringing PJ Peters and Jody Swamp with him to 2nd and 3rd.

After not having won since his track championship year in 2008 Stephane Lebrun used patience and whatever bite was left on the bottom of the speedway to record his first win since the 2008 season finale over PJ Peters, Swamp, Marc Lalonde and Ricky Thompson rounded out the top 5.

The TUSA Mod Lite series was also on the card and Bryan Green was the dominant car as he jumped out to a quick lead over last weeks winner Scott Waldorff.

Mathieu Robinson was also on the charge getting up into 2nd on lap 5 before he lost the handle on his race car in turn 4 bringing out the yellow.

Despite 2 more late restarts and late charge by Mathieu Robinson nobody was stopping Bryan Green as he claimed his 3rd win of the season over Robinson, Jim Bogett, Dan Kirving, and Matt Meuten.

In the Bandit feature go Corey Castell and Mathieu Aubin led the field to the green with Aubin grabbing the top spot away with Castell and Mike Gaucher rounding out the top 3. On lap 3 Matt Zira lost a left front tire going into turn 1 ending his night early.

On the restart Aubin took the top spot away with Stuart Mossow hot on his heels and on lap 5 Mossow grabbed the top spot away and led the final 7 laps to score his 3rd win in a row over Aubin, Gaucher, Darryl Mitchell and Corey Castell.

Next week Lazore's Construction will be on the card for round #2 of the Bailey Motor Company Pro Stock Series along with a regular show of Modifieds, Sportsman, Bandits and Mod Lites. The first green Flag drops at 7:45pm
