The Clarkson University Athletic Department is pleased to announce that former Golden Knights' standout Dylan Broomfield will join the Green and Gold's Men's Lacrosse coaching staff for the 2015-16 season.

Broomfield, a two-time Liberty League All-Star at midfield, was named a USILA Scholar All-American this past spring as he attained a 3.699 grade-point average over eight semesters and finished his degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Broomfield was one of the top faceoff men in the region for the past three years, ranking second in the Liberty League (56.6%) this past season. Over the course of four years he won 58.2% of his chances at the 'x' and scooped up 293 groundballs, an average of 5.75 per game. As a senior, he was named a Liberty League Second-Team All-Star and started all 15 games, ranking second in the Liberty League in groundballs (5.93 per game). Despite suffering from some injuries as a junior he ranked second in the conference in groundballs (6.83 per game) and led the league in faceoff percentage (61.3%). In just his second collegiate season he won 58.7% of his faceoffs and averaged 7.44 groundballs per game, as he was chosen a Liberty League Second-Team All-Star.

The native of Clinton, NY will serve as Clarkson's second assistant coach, joining recently hired assistant coach Dan Sipperly.
