Two members of the St. Lawrence University Class of 2018 were selected to compete in the annual Kensington Lions All-Star Football Game on Wednesday, July 30 in Depew, NY.

The annual contest, which was played at Depew High School, features premier talent in and around the Buffalo-area. Austen Lauricella, a wide receiver from Akron, NY, played on the victorious North squad and will be attending St. Lawrence this fall, while future teammate Brian Stoldt played for the South. Stoldt is a quarterback from Alden, NY. Saints offensive coordinator Dan Puckhaber and quarterbacks coach Alex Smith took in the game, along with current players Ryan Schmidt, Jared Shatkin and Alec Dietsch. Schmidt and Dietsch played in the Kensington Lions All-Star games prior to their arrival in Canton, NY as well.

"It is a terrific achievement to earn a spot in the Kensington Lions All-Star game, and both Austen and Brian were very deserving of their selections," said Saints head coach Mark Raymond. "We are excited to be adding them to our offense this season and I expect they'll be great additions to St. Lawrence."

The St. Lawrence football team is slated to arrive for training camp on Thursday, August 14, with the season opener to follow on Saturday, September 6 at Coast Guard. The Saints will host Norwich in the home opener at Leckonby Stadium on September 13 at 1pm.
