After avoiding overtime with a late goal on Friday, the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team played the extra sessions on Saturday as the Golden Knights tied St. John Fisher 1-1 in Rochester.

Clarkson is now 3-1-1 on the season while St. John Fisher is 1-3-1.

St. John Fisher got the first goal of the game in the 31st minute. Brian Norman sent a cross into the box and it reached Jeff Meyers on the far post. Meyers' ensuing shot came back across the goal and into the side netting.

Clarkson tied the score in the second half in the 64th minute. Ryan Stinson attacked down the left hand side and crossed into the box where Aidan Subra was open and Subra was able to finish past the Cardinals' goalkeeper. It was the first collegiate goal for Subra.

Both teams had chances to score in the overtime periods, but Clarkson could not get their four overtime shots on goal. Michael King made two crucial saves in the final two minutes to prevent St. John Fisher from scoring the winning goal.

Clarkson finished with a 13-11 edge in shots and a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks. King made five saves for Clarkson while Joe Catafalmo had four stops for the Cardinals.

Clarkson's next game is Wednesday, September 14th when the Golden Knights travel to Cortland to play SUNY Cortland in a 4:00 pm game.
