After taking a 3-0 lead following doubles competition, the St. Lawrence men's tennis team dropped a match to Connecticut College, 5-4, in the first of its spring training matches in Orlando, Fl.

John Megan and Robert Schmitz won 8-4 in the No. 1 doubles spot, while the duos of Elliot Solandt and Tom Luchars and Paul Barrett and Rhonny Rosario earned 8-5 wins at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.

Barrett was the only Saint to win a singles match on Sunday afternoon; picking up a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 6.

The deciding match of the day came at No. 5 as Kevin Frommer fell in a three-set battle after coming from behind to win the second 6-4. The tie break went down to the wire, with Frommer ultimately falling 11-9.

The Saints will continue their spring training schedule with a match against Colby Sawyer at 8:00 am on Monday, March 16.
