St. Lawrence University senior captain Brady Condlin recorded a double-double with a season-high 19 points and 11 rebounds, leading the Saints men's basketball team to its first victory of the season on Saturday, a 70-52 win against SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry at the 2014 Hamilton College Invitational in Clinton, NY.

The Saints (1-2) had 17 steals in the game including six from Condlin and finished with a 22-6 advantage in points off turnovers. SUNY ESF (1-6) was unable to overcome 25 turnovers and a 16-point disadvantage in points in the paint (38-22).

Kyle Kobis and Riley Naclerio both scored nine of their 11 points in the second half, while Willie Zachery added 12 points for the Scarlet and Brown. Danny MacElrath and Sage Beemer led the Mighty Oaks with 10 points each, while Tyler Kuhn finished one point shy of a double-double (9 points, 10 rebounds).

Condlin starred in the first half, as he helped St. Lawrence out to a 24-17 lead at intermission. The Massena, NY native scored 14 points in the period and the Saints defense forced the Mighty Oaks to struggle offensively with 17 turnovers while shooting 27% from the floor in the opening 20:00 minutes.

St. Lawrence delivered several clutch shots throughout the second half when it needed them most, including several jumpers from behind the arc. Kobis and Naclerio each drilled threes early in the half to keep the Saints ahead, but a lay-up by Beemer pulled the Mighty Oaks within four at 41-37 midway through the half. However, St. Lawrence answered with an 8-0 run, capped by a three from Condlin, that stretched the lead to 12 with 9:04 to play. The run helped the Saints pull away, as they built their largest lead of 22 late in the half on a lay-in by Sam Adler en route to the comfortable 70-52 victory.

The Saints will be in action again tomorrow, Sunday, November 30 at the Hamilton Invitational. They will take on Utica College at noon.
