Two goals from Kimi Sisti of RIT ended the hope of a weekend sweep on the road for the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team as the Golden Knights dropped a 2-0 decision to the Tigers Sunday afternoon.
The Golden Knights saw their record evened at 4-4 with the loss, while RIT improved to 6-1 overall. Clarkson will begin Liberty League play next weekend when it hosts Rensselaer and Vassar.
Sisti scored a goal in the 36th minute during the first half, and tacked on an insurance goal in the second half in the 64th minute. Clarkson was out shot 12-8 in the game, but put more attempts on goal than the Tigers, 7-5. Senior goalkeeper Stephanie Collins (Colton, NY) made three saves in the loss for the Knights, while Ashley Valenti made seven stops for the shutout for RIT.
