Jamie Lee Rattray (Kanata, ONT), a sophomore forward for the Clarkson University Women’s Hockey team, has been selected to Canada’s U-22 National Team, as announced by Hockey Canada on Tuesday, Nov. 8. The team, consisting of 22 players, will represent Canada at the 2012 Meco Cup in Fussen, Germany, set to take place January 3-8, 2012.

Rattray is one of eight skaters that will represent ECAC Hockey at the Meco Cup. The Golden Knights’ leading scorer, Rattray, a 5-6 left wing, has recorded 16 points, including a team-high 11 assists, through this season’s first 12 games. Rattray scored the game-winning goal in Clarkson’s 3-2 victory at Syracuse (10/14) and tallied both goals in the Knights’ 2-1 win over the University of New Hampshire (10/22). She has scored 12 goals and recorded 29 assists through 49 career games.

Rattray has plenty of international experience, having help Canada to the Under-18 World Championship Gold Medal in April 2010. She was a member of Canada’s Women’s Under-18 Team in the 2009 World Women’s Under-18 Championship where she won a silver medal. Rattay was also a member of the 2008 and 2009 Gold-Medal winning Team Ontario Red at the Under-18 Nationals.

In addition to Canada, national teams from Germany, Finland, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland will participate in this year’s Meco Cup. The Canadian squad seeks its third straight (and ninth overall) gold medal at this year’s games.
