With outstanding work on both the court and in the classroom, senior libero Erika Chin (Katy, TX) of the Clarkson University Volleyball team was selected as a Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District First-Team member for the third straight year.

Chin, a double major in Chemical Engineering and Engineering & Management, boasts a 3.84 grade-point average and has completed 141 credits already through advanced placement and three years of schooling at Clarkson. Besides her enviable academic accomplishments, Chin has also helped lead the Golden Knights to national rankings in each of the past two seasons as the team's key defensive player. She has recorded 606 digs (5.19 per set) and 60 aces (0.50 per set) this season. Her 2,235 career digs rank second all-time in Clarkson history, while her 250 aces are also the second-most in the program's near-40 year history. She is just 29 shy of tying the all-time mark in that category.

Chin also earned Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District (District 3) honors as a sophomore and junior. During her four years at Clarkson, the Golden Knights have so far been to three NCAA Tournaments and have compiled a record of 119-32 (.788 winning percentage).
