Senior guard Carey Turner (Clifton Park, NY) of the Clarkson University Women’s Basketball team was rewarded for her solid three-game stretch this past week when she was named a Liberty League Performer of the Week on Monday.
Turner averaged 12.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, including a double-double against Skidmore where she recorded 14 points and 12 rebounds. She also tossed in 3.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game over the three conference games.
On the season, Turner is averaging 10.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per game over the course of 13 contests this year. She is also just seven points shy of becoming the 17th player in Clarkson Women’s Basketball history to record 800 career points.
