Corey Tamblyn put in two strong outings for the Clarkson University Hockey team against St. Lawrence University to close out the first semester and earned ECAC Player of the Week honors for his efforts.
The 5-11, 190-pound senior center from Bobcaygeon, ONT tallied three points against the Saints as the Golden Knights split a pair of games against their archrival. In the Tuesday night game at Appleton Arena in Canton, NY on December 6, Tamblyn assisted on Clarkson’s second goal and scored the Knights’ third goal as the Green and Gold skated to a 5-3 ECAC Hockey victory over the Saints. In non-league action at the Festivus Faceoff in Lake Placid this past Saturday, Tamblyn recorded his seventh goal of the season in a 4-1 loss to St. Lawrence.
Through 20 games this season, Tamblyn has posted 12 points and a +8. He has tallied 41 career points on 19 goals and 22 assists through 111 games. In 12 games against St. Lawrence, Tamblyn has scored a team-high seven points on three goals and four assists.
The Golden Knights are off until December 29 when they play Maine in the opening round of the Everblades College Classic in Estero, Florida.
