Junior Cara Manfredi (Glastonbury, CT) and freshman Stephanie Grobe (White River Junction, VT) helped the Clarkson University Women's Basketball team earn a pair of victories last week and on Monday the duo was awarded with Liberty League Weekly honors.

Manfredi earned her first Liberty League Performer of the Week award and Grobe was chosen as the Liberty League Rookie of the Week.

Manfredi averaged 20.7 points per game in three contests, scoring 18 points in a win over Cazenovia and 14 points in a loss to 20th-ranked Lebanon Valley. She saved her best for the last, however, tossing in a tournament-best 30 points in a victory over Morrisville State on Monday. For the week, she shot 19-for-21 from the free throw line and 9-for-22 from beyond the 3-point arc. Through five games this season, Manfredi is averaging 22.0 points per game, which leads the conference. Her 43.2 percent from beyond the 3-point arc is second in the league and her 45.2 percent from the field overall is sixth.

Freshman Stephanie Grobe had her best games of the young season this past week, scoring a season-high 17 points in a victory over Cazenovia, and shooting a season-best 71.4% from the field (5-for-7) against Lebanon Valley. For the week, she averaged 11.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game while shooting 50 percent from the floor (14-for-28). Through five games, Grobe is averaging 9.0 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. She also contributes 2.2 assists and 1.4 steals per contest.
