POTSDAM – Clarkson University Freshman Corey Herrington (Camillus, NY) enjoyed an auspicious debut for the Clarkson University Men's Lacrosse Saturday in a 16-9 victory over Oneonta State, and Monday he was chosen as the Liberty League Rookie of the Week for his impressive performance.
Herrington, a 5-7 attacker, scored five goals on five shots in the win, and also picked up four groundballs. Though it's early in the season, Herrington's five goals are the second-most scored by any Liberty League player in a game this season.
Clarkson opens the home portion of the schedule on Wednesday when it hosts Norwich.
