For the third time this season, and second straight week, freshman Brooke Butkovsky (Monroe, CT) of the Clarkson University Women's Basketball team was chosen as the Liberty League Rookie of the Week.
Butkovsky averaged 10.0 points per game this week, tossing 7.7 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game while shooting 52.2 percent from the floor (12-for-23). She scored a career-high 19 points against Bard College on Saturday, going 7-for-10 from the floor as the game's high scorer.
For the season, Butkovsky is averaging 9.7 points per game, the second-highest figure in the Liberty League among conference freshmen (trailing only teammate Raeanne Clabeaux), while contributing 7.1 rebounds, which ranks fifth in the league, 1.0 blocks and 1.1 steals per game. Her 55.9% field goal percentage leads the nine-team conference.
