This past weekend, the Clarkson University Volleyball team played against some of the tougher opponents in the region with combined records of 49-19. Senior Sara Artus (St. Regis Falls, NY) continued to shine against the best as she has her entire career, and on Monday she was rewarded with the Liberty League Performer of the Week honor for the third time this season.
Artus struck for 51 kills over three matches (4.64 per set), including 22 kills against Elmira College and 20 kills, 16 digs, and 2 blocks against 18th-ranked Springfield College. Versus Brockport she hit for nine kills in a three-set sweep.
On the season, Artus has 311 kills and surpassed 1,500 in her career over the weekend. She also is among the team leaders with 186 digs while adding in 27 aces.
