Big goals by key players and the steady performance from senior goaltender Shea Tiley (Owen Sound, ONT) lifted the Clarkson University Women's Hockey team to a 4-1 victory over St. Lawrence University at Appleton Arena in Canton on Saturday afternoon in ECAC Hockey action.

The Golden Knights, who defeated the Saints 2-1 in conference play at Cheel on Thursday night, completed a four-game sweep of their archrival this season. Clarkson also knocked off St. Lawrence twice (4-2, 6-1) in non-league play in mid-October.

Standing at 14-3-1 overall and 6-2 in ECAC Hockey play, the Green and Gold continue their busy stretch of five games in 10 days to close out the 2017 portion of the schedule with a non-league matchup at Syracuse on Tuesday. Clarkson finishes the first half at Union and Rensselaer next weekend.

Trailing 1-0 late in the second period at St. Lawrence, the Knights' top line connected for a pair of goals in a 79-second span in the final minutes of the middle frame to lead the way for the Green and Gold.

"It was great to come away with two big league points today.," said Head Coach Matt Desrosiers. "I thought St Lawrence played a great game and had some quality scoring chances that Shea did a good job keeping out of the back of our net. The two goals at the end of the second were definitely a big turning point in the game for us. After that I thought we played a solid and smart third period to help us bring home the win."

At 17:50, the Knights' leading scorer, junior Loren Gabel (Kitchener, ONT) scored on a rising wrist shot from the right circle for her 13th goal of the season and 97th career point (53-44).

Senior defenseman Savannah Harmon (Downers Grove, IL) also collected her 97th career point (25-72) with the assist.

Sophomore Michaela Pejzlova (Pardubice, Czech Rep.) connected for the game-winner at 19:09 off a rebound in front for her 13th goal of the season and ninth goal in the past nine games. Freshman Elizabeth Giguere (Quebec City, QUE) picked up the assist.

Clarkson sealed the road win with two more goals late in the final frame. Junior defenseman Josiane Pozzebon (Bourget, ONT) scored on the power play at 16:29 with junior Kelly Mariani (Mississauga, ONT) and sophomore Ella Shelton (Ingersol, ONT) assisting on Pozzebon's second goal of the year.

Giguere closed things out with an empty-net score at 16:57 for her 11th goal of the season.

Tiley finished with 24 saves as Clarkson outshot the Saints 31-25.

Both teams went 1-of-3 on the power play.
