(Geneseo, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton women’s cross country team finished in ninth place out of 11 teams as the very competitive Geneseo Invitational on Saturday at Letchworth State Park.
Geneseo captured the overall women’s title and they were followed by Hamilton College, LeMoyne College, Brockport State College, Daemen College, the University of Rochester, SUNY Canton, Keuka College, and Medaille College.
Freshman Megan Mydosh (Warwick, N.Y.) finished as the top finisher for the Roos once again as she posted a time of 26:30 in the 6K race to finish in 59th place.
Mydosh was followed by freshman Heather Ameele (Willaimson, N.Y.) who came in 91st place in a time of 28:19. Sophomore Sarah Glode (Champlain, N.Y.) was 115th in a time of 32:42. Sabrina Whitford (Gouverneur, N.Y.) came in 119th (36:07) and Rachel Fox (Fort Plain, N.Y.) was 121st (39:33).
The Roos return to Canton next weekend when they’ll compete in the Hoffman Invitational at St. Lawrence University.
