Three Clarkson University Women's Hockey standouts will represent their country in the 2018 Nation's Cup as junior forward Loren Gabel and defensemen, senior Josiane Pozzebon and junior Ella Shelton will play for Canada's National Development team in the upcoming tournament in Fussen, Germany on January 3-6.

The Golden Knight trio help make up the 21-player roster, and will also be joined by Clarkson Head Coach Matt Desrosiers, who will serve as an assistant coach for Canada. The tournament will also feature national teams from Finland, Germany, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland in the four days of competition.

Gabel enters the first-semester break tied as ECAC Hockey's leading scorer with linemate Elizabeth Giguere, both with 35 points. Gabel has tallied 15 goals and 20 assists through 21 games and recently became the 13th Golden Knight all-time to join the century club. Through 102 career games, the Kitchener, ONT native has amassed 104 points on 55 goals and 49 assists.

Pozzebon and Shelton have played key roles on the Clarkson blueline, helping the Green and Gold establish one of the best team defenses in the country, allowing only 1.14 goals per game (third best in the NCAA).

A native of Ingersol, ONT, Shelton posts a +22 plus/minus to go along with 13 points, including 12 assists. Pozzebon, a native of Bourget, ONT, has tallied two goals and 10 assists along with a +14 plus/minus rating.
